Larry D. Morgan

Larry D. Morgan, 62, of Elkville, passed away at 4:45 A.M., Thursday, November 20, 2003 at his residence.
Larry was a retired truck driver.  He was a member of Old Du Quoin Baptist Church, Murphysboro Senior Citizens Kitchen Band, Jolley Jills and Jacks of Christopher.  He was a US Navy veteran.
He was born July 21, 1941 at Du Quoin, IL, the son of Silas and Ruth (Graeff) Morgan.
He married Rita K. Caraker on March 1, 1997 at Du Quoin, IL and she survives.
He is survived by his wife of Elkville, two sons - Kevin Morgan and wife Tammy of Houston, TX, Kirk Morgan and wife Kris of Du Quoin, one daughter - Teisha York of Houston, TX, mother - Ruth Morgan of Du Quoin, two brothers - Silas Morgan and wife Melba of Du Quoin and Gary Morgan of Elkville, one sister - Frances Herbert and husband Joe of Du Quoin, and four grandchildren - Katelyn Morgan, Brandon York, Allyson Morgan and Alexis Morgan.
He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers - Tom Morgan and Steve Morgan.
Funeral services were at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, November 22, 2003 at the Old Du Quoin Baptist Church at Du Quoin with Rev. Ted Clark officiating.
Friends called from 5 to 8 P.M., Friday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin and from 10 to 11 A.M., Saturday at the church.
Interment was in the Elkville Cemetery at Elkville.
Friends may make memorials to Heartland Medical Center in Marion.
